Although much of our project is geared to focus on common animals such as dogs and cats, other wildlife animals are in need of help as well. There are a numerous amount of animals in our local wilderness that are sick, injured, or orphaned that require care. Each year in the Northern Virginia area thousands of animals are hurt due to actions from humans in surrounding areas. The best thing we can do for the wildlife in the state of Virginia is is to educated the public so they can be prepared in the event of finding a sick or troubled animal. If you want to go further than just being prepared, a great thing to do is donate to wildlife organizations. Money is not the only thing that can be donated, a big help for organizations is to donate your time and volunteer!
The Wildlife Rescue League is a fantastic organization dedicated to helping the wildlife in Northern Virginia. They provide an informative and easy navigable website that focuses on helping all different kinds of animals in Northern Virginia. The wildlife helpline is a number you can call all seven days of the week in the event of finding an animal in the wilderness in need of human help. They also provide a list of other animal rescue resources if you are located outside of Northern Virginia. You are able to donate any sum of money to do all kinds of different things accessible directly on the organizations website; an example of this event would include feeding a baby bird. The Wildlife Rescue League is always looking for volunteers, and if you are looking to take action, this organization needs volunteers for jobs that range from assisting in caring for wildlife to coordinating events and fundraisers. The Wildlife Rescue League will help you help animals.
